Syllabus for Health and Physical Education
All students are required to dress out (shorts/t-shirt/tennis shoes) and are encouraged to purchase a Physical Education Uniform ($20.00). Students have two weeks to purchase a uniform.
Dress Requirements
-Tennis shoes are required! If you have street shoes on, (example: boots, flip flops, sandals, high heels) they must walk around the edge of the gym floor to get to the locker rooms. (-5 pts. If not worn)
-No jewelry.
-Waistband of shorts must be worn at waist level.
-All students will be required to complete a confidential report before participating in Physical Education.
-Students will have 3 minutes after the bell rings to change clothes.
-Students are not permitted in the locker rooms during class time unless instructed to do so.
-Use the dress time at the beginning and end of the class to use the bathroom.
-The gym doors are to remain closed during class. Students may not open or go outside them.
-No one is to leave the gym or locker rooms to get water.

What do I do when i'm sick or injured?
-Students are excused from Physical Education if they have a doctor’s note or a note from home. A note from home is good for only one day unless other arrangements are made between the parent and the teacher. A note will be required for each day the student does not participate.
-If a student becomes ill or injured during class he/she should report it to the teacher immediately so that he/she can be assisted.
-If a student has a long-term injury or illness, he/she will be required to do a written assignment or project relating to the class activities in order to receive a grade.
Reproductive Health and Safety will be taught each semester. Please consult the student handbook for details.

-Students must be inside the gym door before the tardy bell rings. Those not within the gym at this time will receive a tardy. Three tardies will result in PROPS consequences listed below.

-Secure all valuables at all times. Students may use the lockers in the locker room during the class period but must purchase a combination lock to protect their belongings. Coaches are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
-After changing clothes, proceed to the gym and begin the walk/run circuit. There is no sitting in the bleachers.
